The Book Level Guide has been compiled to assist teachers and parents in choosing reading material that is appropriate for the reading level of their students. It contains evaluations of the reading level of over 6500 children's books, from kindergarten to grade 6. The guide makes it easy to find books that will challenge the student without frustrating them. This guide is intended for use in our Early Reading Intervention program, but can be useful in many literacy programs. The Book Level Guide is available in book form and as a Filemaker Pro database. The Filemaker Pro database can be combined with listings of school libraries to provide a versatile resource for all students and teachers of the school, under our site licence agreement. This version includes features that allow for barcode or ID# tracking of books, students, progess reports, and teacher's activities.
